Cockshutt 570 starter?

Im on the hunt for a new starter for a Cockshutt 570 diesel. I see there appears to be a gear reduction one available for much less than the original style. Has anyone used one? Any good? I dont really want to ship one all the way to Canada to find out it wont work. Thanks, Sam

Yes, I've bought a couple for Olivers. I wouldn't go back to original unless I was doing a period-correct restoration.

No, I don't recall. I think I got it from eBay or Amazon, maybe through DB electrical seller or something like that.

I'm using one on a Oliver. I like it a lot more than the original one.
I got mine from Maple Springs Farm.
