Ran into a guy today that bought a 990 and it came with a MWFD kit. Owner said it was an option.
I am really skeptical. I asked for details and he said the left brake housing has a splined shaft out of it that supposedly drove the front axle. He said that the axle doesnt work; he can turn the driveshaft by hand and it just spins freely.
Anybody ever heard of this? I presume its an aftermarket thing (Elwood?).
I have not seen it, but he promised me photos. He says he also has the parts to convert back to the factory axle.
