Hey all,

I've never found a sawzall blade I was truly happy with until yesterday.

Just cut an old Schuld Bushnell bin in two last night. The bin was in a tight spot and had to be cut in two to be lifted out with a boom lift on my skid steer. I used a torch on one a couple weeks ago and it was a pain. The bin had been patched several times on the inside, so I'd have to cut extra wide to get at the patches as well. That, and the bin is galvanized - not good for torching. This second bin, I decided to try cutting it with a sawzall. I've bought Milwaukee blades, Dewalt blades, store brand blades, el cheapo blades and haven't exactly fallen in love with any of them (the store brand and the el cheapo are the worst). This time, I tried some Morse Fire & Rescue blades. Wow. I bought a couple boxes, expecting to use a bunch to cut the 28 feet it was gonna take to get around the bin. I did it with ONE blade. That, and I then used the blade to cut the anchor bolts at the base. The blade STILL looks like it'll go a ways yet. It also made me happy to see "Made in USA" on the boxes.

Dunno what Morse is doing, but I hope they keep it up.

Lenox makes good ones too ! I have had them bend and not break, had them throwing sparks off on hard metal and still cutting !

I don't know where you buy your Lenox blades. The past 2 packs of these I've bought were not worth carrying out of the store. "Made in USA using global components". Read this to say "Made in China and shoved in the box by a American (or not) temporary employee".

I have been using Lenox blades for several years and really liked them, but the last couple purchases they have been disappointing. I will look into the fire and rescue blades.

George, click the link the original poster gave. Go to the very bottom of the page and click "Distributor Locator". Enter your zip code and enter a distance away and you will find out if anyone is near you. Grainger carries them also BTW.

Thanks for the website info; Nice to know where to get the "Good Stuff" when there is so much "worthless bargain crap" cluttering the stores.
