Help no fuel

Working on an early model 3020 diesel. I have fuel to the injector pump, but nothing after that. The throttle linkage is working and I can see the shaft turning in the pump when I move the throttle, but Its like the fuel is shut off. Any ideas

Did you run out of fuel? Crack the nuts at the injectors and see if you have fuel there. If not then you have a pump problem. Sometimes a system needs to be bleed out, especially if you ran it out of fuel .

take the timing window plate off to see if pump is turnig when cranked.
when did the motor run last?

It has been setting in the shed for 3 years I think. Ran good when I shut if off, but you know how that goes. I am just wondering if the fuel shutoff is sticking. I do not know how the pump works for sure so it is just a thought.

Yes,it should have fuel in there. Was there anything in there that looked like coffee grounds?
I can't remember if that pump has a bleeder right at the top like my Oliver 1850 has or not. I know on that one, once you get fuel out of that one, you've got it licked. Been a while since I had a Deere around here.

fuel running out the timing window is normal
now take the cover with the three screws in it off
look up in the right top corner and see fuel shut off moves.

Im going to bet the pistons
inside the pump are stuck from varnish,if so the pump will need to be taken apart and cleaned.

if it were my pump.I would remove it,clamp it in a vice with the fuel in port up.fit a funnel to the fuel port, fill the funnel with fuel and spin the drive shaft clockwise about 600 rpm and see if you get fuel out the cylinder ports

Is that a Rosa-Master or Roosa-Master, not sure how its spelled. If it is, there might be a check valve on the top of it that is not working correctly. Can't remember what the symptoms were when one of our IH's had a problem with one. I thought I remembered seeing a John Deere that had a Roosa-Master injection pump, very similar to the IH one. I might be all wrong on the whole thing though, and I'm sure someone will let me know if I am! Please be kind if I am.

It is a roosa/masta or whatever pump. I pulled the cover with the three bolts off and it was full of fuel inside. In the top right hand corner looks like a bolt that the arm comes up against, is that what you are talking about. I could not get it to move, but all the linkage seems to be moving as it should.

actually its not in the right hand corner.it is center top.it sits under the long bolt that holds the governor spring has and arm on it that goes left and right.with a pin on the left side that goes thru the up and down linkage.it should move as the throttle lever is moved.or you should be able to move it with your finger.if its stuck, just put a little pressure to free it up

i found when trying to start my 1206 it took a long time to get the fuel from the pump to the injectors maybe try to pull start it
