Any you guys had wind the last few days?40-50+ mph.Dry wind,some hot.some cold,few scattered rain drops.Right now the the wind is calm......
 
I am in SW Kansas --- Wind was blowing hard Thursday and Friday on way to Denver --- Was pretty calm yesterday coming home from Denver -- we have had our share of high wind - gusts up to 50 mph, and fires --- dry here --- but NO RAIN!!!

i am 45 miles NW of Sioux Falls SD had 60 mph late night 85 degrees broke a lot of trees now 58 degrees and 30mph wind out of the west
 
My son is in West Fargo and said things were pretty ugly for a while last evening, as well.
 
Ken 46 where are you? i"m also in sw kansas and i"m so sick of the wind this year that i"m seriously thinking of moving! You must have come back yesterday via nebraska. it was blowing so hard that i couldn"t let the dogs out the front door to catch the rabbits rolling by.

Yea West Fargo got hit pretty bad. I'm 90 miles south east. Just north of us they had docks and boat lifts blowing across MN Hwy 108 near Rush Lake, powere line down across some cars in the same area and in Otter Tail MN a home lost a roof. WIfe and I got that from the scanner listening to the cops responding to calls.

Pretty wet here, need it to dry out enough to get the last 7 acres planted!

Supposed to be windy here tomorrow. Gonna have to blow like the devil for two weeks to get things dried out enough to even think about getting the rest of the corn in.
 
ddl---- you are right -- yesterday- Monday - was windier than ever -- got my days mixed up. -- Wife kept worrying about getting sucked in a semi on hwy 287 from Denver
It was not good!!!
 
It was terrible here in the OK strip yesterday...

I was plowing 8 inches of powder & Dad was fighting to save his cotton from getting sandblasted...

The local weather monitor here at the college showed almost 60 mph top wind speed for the 24 hrs...

Well - that is slightly comical...

As near as I can tell - the local windmills cut out at about 35-40 mph...

So yesterday, I went by them once early - and they were off because of high-wind.

And by last night, it was dead calm - so when I came back by, they were also off...

So they don't make anyone much money on days like yesterday...

Its also almost dead calm today - and they are forecasting high winds back after today until the weekend...

Threatening sever weather today, talking 9mph winds. Has been pretty windy all day. Wife could hang clothes on line, by the time she got to the end, she could take down what she putup first.
 
Here in SE AZ it has been windy for 3 months. 3 or 4 windless days in all that time. Anywhere from 20 to 50 mph. 40 to 50 mph yesterday, 20 to 30 today. No rain since Dec. All the loose soil has blown away,down to hard pan, rocks and gravel. Fire in mts. 15 miles from my house covers 60,000 acres. 900 firefighters, 2 planes and 10 helos can't put it out. Whole mountain range has been almost totally burned bare.
