My wife had our baby today. A boy weighing 9lbs 10oz. Baby and momma are both doing great! Such a proud father!! Life is great today

Congratulations. Cherish every moment with them. You will blink your eyes and he will be 8 to 10 years old. Tell them both often you love them.

Congrat's buddy! As a relatively new father myself (1 and 2 year olds), all I can say is enjoy!. One thing my father always told me was to mind how you treated and dealt with everyone (wife, parts man, neighbors, etc.) Little minds are like sponges

Congratulations, I remember when my oldest son was born 44 years ago--seems like yesterday! Seems like every generation gets better than the last, but in my case it skipped my generation.

Congrats Justin. So what did ya'll name the little feller?
Your gonna have great times with a son. We raised 2 boys and they both turned out great! One is married with a son and a daughter, the other has just finished up college and is about to understand the true meaning of independence.
Be sure and teach the boy all the essentials of life, and tell him and his Mom "I love you" at least once every day. The favors you get in return from them both will prove to be priceless through the years.

Two thoughts:
Take time to be a father and real person to him. (way important)
Take personal pride in taking the load off of your wife. Do dishes, do laundry, do change the diapers, do be willing to hold up 50% of the reality.
Life does not get any better than having a child you want. Mine just graduated from HS last week. Jim

Congrats! My first son is just over 9 mo. and is growing like a weed. A small one, but growing non the less. He already likes to watch me wrench on stuff. Just recently he's been improving his sitting up and is about ready to crawl. May God help us then.....

Thanks everyone. His name is Cooper! I have a seven year old daughter and I adopted my wifes 7 year old son so we will have a busy house! I can honestly say that there is nothing better in life than my kiddos!
