Has anyone heard of a Sean Smith that does hauling with a car trailer? He is supposedly from Tampa, FL. He contacted me about 3 weeks ago through an ad I placed in the Need Hauled section of the Hauling Schedule. It was for a Pontiac engine I need hauled to Phoenix, AZ. He quoted me a flat rate of $350 and he required a deposit of $120 to be sent to an address in Akron, PA. I sent a Moneygram, which he requested, to the address and have not heard from him since. I've tried calling his cell number dozens of times, left messages, and have not gotten any response back. I'm beginning to think I've been scammed. The request for a deposit should have been the first red flag. Does anyone out there reqire deposits for hauling? I have hauled for other people through these same ads on YT and have never required a deposit from anyone. Has anyone else heard of Sean Smith? Thanks for any input you can post.

I talked to him today. He quoted me a price last week. His personal information was very sketchy like he was oozing slime.Had to ask him for his name etc.
I was supposed to give him the pickup information. Before I did this I went on the buyer/seller feedback board and found out his game.Told him today that if he required a deposit, which he said he did,I wasn't doing business with him or anyone else that can't front up 1 way costs especially when they are hauling my stuff.

Sorry to hear you got burnt.

Sounds like I've been scammed!! Should have checked the buyer/seller feedback first, but didn't know it existed. The cell phone number he uses, 224-531-3002, is the same one I've been trying to call with no response from him. This is the same guy that wants you to use the Dollar General reload card for a deposit. I ended up sending him a Moneygram because we do not have any Dollar General stores in our area. What a slime-ball!! If I ever meet him in person.........'nuff said. To all potential parties needing a hauler: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON!!! And NEVER send a deposit!

Scammer I ran that number and only came up that it is in fact a cell phone with no location advertised. All cells will give you a close proximity of where they are from from. on "reverse phone look up" site
