What do you call the bolts with the allen head that drill and screw themselves into a steel framework like fastening a wood floor to a trailer?? and where can I get some? 2 inches long

Sorry, I don't know what they are called but you think they'll work as good as bolts & nuts??? What size would you use? Have 2 wagons to put a floor in and these would make the job much more fun......

Oddly, they are called trailer floor screws.
Grainger has them.

I bought some at a trailer supply and they are so brittle that many have broken off. They were quick to install though.

We have them on trailers and they are NOT a substitute for nuts and washers. The holes rust out and they come out.

mjbrown is right-they do rust and come loose.they are fast to install,a bolt/washer/nylock nut is more permant.
