Farmall O-4 and O-6 Question

Looking for a bit of info on Farmall O-4 or O-6. Found one locally and I don't really know how to tell them apart and I don't have the serial number yet. What are tell tale signs between the two? It has been in a barn non-running for 15 years, does not have original rear rims and tires, but otherwise appears to be complete and original from the pictures I could find. I am a John Deere guy and do not know much about these. Seems like plenty were produced according to serial number figures. Would someone be willing to give a rough value as to what it may be worth besides scrap.

they are not Farmalls, they are McCormicks. the model is stamped right on the serial # tag.

You'll get better results with web searches if you search for international or mccormick deering. Farmall referred specifically to the row crop tractors as I understand it.

I thought they were 'Internationals' not McCormicks.
0-4 is based on the 'H' Row Crop, and 0-6 is based on the 'M'. They share many components with their counterpart Farmalls.
I would guess that are much more rare than the W-4 and W-6 which are very similar in size and appearance to the 'O' [Orchard] models.

I stand corrected; they are McCormick-Deering, not International.

Nevertheless, they were all made by International Harvester Corporation.

Neat old tractors. No idea on the value - but I worked in an orchard when I was about 10 years old, hoodlin', and spent a lot of time on an O4. I guess I'm going crazy, because I keep thinking it had a hand clutch, and I know the H's did not. I know for certain that it had a hand crank, and started real easy. It rode like a baby buggy, with that seat behind the rear axle.

I hope you get a good deal on it.

It may of had a hand clutch. I know the H & M you could buy a hand clutch conversion for from TSC. And being backily the same tractor it should have been able to be put on.
