Plastic Twine In 24T

Any modifications needed when using plastic twine in a 24T square baler? Using sisal now and thinking about switching. Any suggestions?

Change billhooks to multi-twine if not already done. The tongue sits deeper and can hold onto the smaller diameter plastic twine.

Don't buy more than one bale of plastic, until you see if its going to work. Sisal is much more forgiving in the old balers, and you don't know if plastic will work until you try it.

"Any suggestions?"

Avoid possible aggravation and stay with sisal twine.

NOTHING wrong with "staying green" and using a natural product that is bio-degradable.

When I grew up we used a 14T & Black plastic
twin all the time, when we baled for the
neighbors used regular ole sical twin. That 14T
it didn't matter, would bale all day & never
miss knot. 14 & 24 same knotter..
