I know it's the hood hold-down but on the blue Bungartz it looks like the handle on a starter rope!
Thanks for the pics. Two or three in there that I had never heard of, much less seen one.
 
I just saw a LeRoi power unit, at an auction,
that was that same engine, with LeRoi, stamped
into yhe radiater cover. That"s a Home made tractor using a LeRoi power unit, and... those
small LeRoi 4 cylinder engines,D201, D226,were
made for LeRoi, by Allis Chalmers, and were the
same engine as used in WC and WD"s and cotton
pickers and small road graders. Parts are inter-
changable..they have the same part numbers in my
NAPA engine parts book.
