More John Deere Implements For My Collection (PICS)

This weekend was full of gathering more implements for my collection! I went to an auction yesterday and purchased this old John Deere Lister. I bought it for $50. I knew I was bidding against the scrap man and was determined to make sure it lived another day! I am glad that I got it, as it is a great addition to the collection. This is now the second one of these in my collection.

After the auction I went up to Herman, Nebraska and picked up this John Deere 227 Corn Picker. Payed $300 for it. This picker is in great shape! It was used for only a few seasons, before it was parked in the shed. The Picker was mounted on a John Deere 620. It is very complete, I have all the mounting brackets and the hard wear to actually use it! I even was given the original manual! Another great addition to the collection. This makes two John Deere 227 Corn Pickers in my collection now.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!

Congrats on your find! Glad to see someone can save some of this stuff so coming generations can see the progression of machinery.

Glad to see those machines saved from the torch.. Thanks for your efforts in keeping a part of American Ag History alive; rather than feeding them to a Chinese steel mill..

Just wondering.....how did you get that 227 loaded so nice on the trailer? Good to see one again, had one in my earlier years of farming on a "70" John Deere.

It took a lot of muscle and a Big tractor! haha We used a John Deere 4440, with a big loader and very carefully brought it out of the shed and then lifted it up and onto the trailer.
