The cart before the horse???

May be jinxing myself but the tractor Iam thinking about getting doesn't have a cab/windshield (just ROPS). Haven't talked anymore about it with the guy (he's been on vacation) but just found a top assembly with windshield on ebay and another auction for batwing doors for the same tractor. They both run out in a couple hours and I hate to pass them up... Guess I could always sell them again if I don't get the tractor.....

Get them or wait to find them again later?????

I'm about to the point of just flipping a coin.......

What do you folks think??????

I would try to resolve whether you are getting the tractor it fits, if at all possible.

I am always on the search for things or perusing ads, I find all kinds of useful, old good quality items, some antiques to re-sell or for my collection, and I see unique things that do not come up often and have to weigh out a decision somehow, do I really need this, am I going to put it to good use etc.

Worst case, get those items, lump it in with the tractor if the seller has an open mind, why wouldn't he/she want those accessories to enhance the features for selling the tractor, especially if they are not often found. Tie up that money for something unique and a small market exists for it, could be a long wait to get a return on it and free up the space it takes to store, not to mention any effects from age, storage, handling that may detract from its value. Clear as mud, but at least you will be able to entice some of the "funk" people you deal with on selling things, waiting for no shows, tire kickers, low ballers etc. LOL ! You may earn a Doctorate in people skills though LOL !

What's wrong with a Cart before the Horse ????
don't you think aa horse can push a cart ?????
maybe you should ask Dear Abby !!!!!!!

Almost as much a mystery to answer as : should I get married or stay single . Only you can solve that mystery yourself . Dear Abby dun bailed out , so she can"t help out with this one . Best wishes & God bless

Went for much more than I was willing to pay..... I've already got a set of rag doors that'll fit it if I get it, just liked the swing open metal ones... Maybe next time....

I don't know what to tell you. I aquired a bunch of Cub implements, but never got a cub. Sold off the cub stuff a couple of years ago.

We've got 4 untouched saddles and bridles that are between 5 and 10 years old. Bought for a horse that we were going to eep and sold......... total 6 saddles and 2 a$$es but just can't talk ourselves into selling them.......

Should know in a week if I'm gonna get the tractor and will try again (or not) then...

Ken, that is an honest and soooo true answer.
It also made me think of this saying:

Marriage changes passion.
Suddenly you're in bed with a relative.

Dear downsouth,
I've been painting the living room since 8:30 this morning ( it is now 9:00 p.m.; just got showered up, dinner, and relaxed with YT. Spit my beer laughing on the computer moniter when I read your reply. Thanks for the chuckle!
