Made in the USA

I stopped in at my local Artic Cat ATV dealer today and bought 2 new 25-8-12 Mudline 6 ply tubeless tires for my quad and when I got them home I looked them over and imagine my surprise when underneath the Mudline embossd logo I see "Made in the USA". I don't look at tires very often but the ones I have looked at this year all were branded "Made in China". Another tire store had Carlile tires for ATV's "Made in China" for about the same money, less than $3 difference.I'm glad I spent the extra $3 now.

Be very careful to believe Labels<br>I bought a belt Genuine ? Original part for a Cub Cadet.. read the sleeve it came in

What's sad is to read the label and it says "made in USA using global components". Who do they think they're BSing. Still can't make a good sawblade out of junk bandstock. And Irwin still can't make good Chinese Vise-grips using the Vise-grip name.

I just bought two new 6.00X16 tri ribs for a 3000 this week at Fleet Farm. Carlisle Brand.
Looked at the sidewall and they're made in USA.
$88 each. That's $7 cheaper than the China brand they had in there last summer when I was looking at them.

I see similiar words on some things like batteries(aa type) Says something like 'Made in either USA, China, Tiawan, or India. Please check battery to see which one.'

The Vice Grip thing is a shame the wasy they hide Made in China in small print.

I can"t speak for the quality as I quit buying their profucts when production was moved to China.

What is really sad is the fact that most American cars are made outside of the country, and many Japanese cars sold in the U.S. are made in the USA?

No cell phones, or televisions are manufactured in the USA either.

To be completely honest I don't know I had saved the sleeve for future reference as to the belt # this was pointed out by another forum member.

I may get to see when I take off mower to service for winter storage, but I suspect it may be worn off..been on all summer.

I was in our local NAPA store yesterday and saw a nice new package of "Vise Grip " pliers in atray you can put in your tool box.The price was $126.00 cdn it had 8 pairs of pliers ranging from 6" to 10" and some c clamps styles.I asked if they were china made and the two guys started in about "no not irwin they are USA made and proud of it"looked them over and could not find any markings on them except the name vise=grip and irwin. If they are so proud of their pliers being made in the USA ,you would think that they would have it stamped all over them. The last pair I looked at was at home depot and the irwin vise-grips were made in China.

I buy a lot of AC Delco from the local parts place. So much of their stuff like water pumps , clutch parts etc is marked "made in China", I really have had no problems with the China / AC Delco stuff. Lat week I bought a pair of AC Delco #IA 98 V belts and noticed it had see the product for country of origin on the jacket. I checked the belt and was supprised that it said "Made in USA"
