Could be a number of things. #1 you should always turn off the gas at the sediment bowl when you park it or any other tractor for that matter. As to what is causing it it could be a bad float, sticking needle and or rust/dirt in the needle seat area letting gas get by.

(quoted from post at 23:17:02 10/22/11) If it is RIGHT you DON'T have to cut the gas
off you IDIOT

By golly, you are absolutely correct. But any of the things Old listed can happen to a carburetor that was "right". It only takes a minuter to shut off the gas and who's the IDIOT when you go to use your tractor and you find that you just had $40.00 worth of gasoline leak out because you didn't shut the fuel off at the tank?

A tiny speck of dirt can make the float valve leak by.You are the fool for making that post. The Grose jet will leak, The viton tip needle will leak, the steel tip needle will leak. All gravity feeds gas systems have to be shut off when you park the tractor.Same goes for the Model T Ford and the model A.Floats with gas inside are common.
