Wife says I'm being cheap ......

Seems the going price for a frontloader for the tractor is 1000-+bucks depending on whether it comes with a shovel and fork........... She saw all the searches I did on ebay and asked what I was finding. Said nothing in my range. She says..maybe you need to raise your range...... here's one not too far away.....

I give lessons in the art of manipulation............
 
Maybe she's just thinking ahead. The more you're worth when she divorces you,the better haul she makes. lol

My wife thinks like that. I tell her if she didn't care what things cost she should have been Mrs. external_link instead of Mrs. Huntress. I hate the phrase, "You get what you pay for". How many times does she complain about getting something undervalued that she paid full price for? Many of those who were ripped off on the Holmes on Homes show didn't get a discounted price. The phrase, "You get what you pay for" is amazingly absent from those spendaholics when after paying top dollar for something, it turns out to be worthless! I'm with you, we have to resist the urge to get, "At all cost" what can be procured at a more reasonable price with a little shopping around.
 
One success does not a pattern make!'bought the time you think you got it all learned up, she'll change the rules and you're back to square one!

My problem with that is that most people I know who are "cheap" spend way more than if they had spent the money right in the first place! An example that just happened...Friend Jim got a Lincoln Town Car, 86 for 250 bucks. He now has about 2500 into it and has driven it less than 200 miles.....but talk to him and he only paid 250 for the car.....and this is not the only time he has done things like this! It's a never ending story with him.
