Vermeer round baler 605a

Found a Vermeer Round baler 605a for sale for $2000. Don't know anything about this baler. Is it any good and is this a good price for it? Any info on it would be helpful

Do not walk away; RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're............for whatever reason........looking for a closed throat Vermeer, look for a "C" model. For 2000 bucks, you can probably find an open throat baler.

dont know,in general we had a vermeer forever,worked good. most older round balers bring $800-1500. check the belts for dry rot.
when ours started breaking they got baled up-lol.

I would stay away from an A series baler. F series is a much more user friendly baler. "here" an F series brings $2500

Michael, I don"t know where you are, But I had a 605A, and have a605F no longer farm and would take that for my F. You will lay under an A and sweat blood several times a day, will the F some but not even close as much.

I second that motion! We had an old 5600 Hesston for many years, and it was the only round baler we'd ever had. (same basic design concept as the A series Vermeer) Went from that Hesston to a 505 Super I Vermeer, and WOW what a difference. I didn't know baling hay could actually be enjoyable until we got the Vermeer.
