Any one have experience with Verison telephone an internet wiireless service to there home/ I am asking about the $19.95 per month with 2mbps internet feed?Pros an cons. Trying to save some money!

Everyone I know with Verison (5-6 people) are not happy with em and are planning on switching companies as soon as their contracts are up.

We have Verizon cell phone service and are very happy with it. We have good service almost everywhere we go in N MN, and some of it is pretty remote. My wife has a smart phone with internet and it also works very well. At our farm are able to use a laptop with the smart phone creating a hot spot. I don't know how fast it is but pictures pop right up so that is good enough!

I have had Verison cell phones for long time an while trucking other than remote nevada have always had good service. No longer truck so that doesent enter any more.I do have good connection at our home. However that costs us $79.69.We also have Watch tv for internet an tv an that is $ 98 both per month. No problem with eighter. However Verison says for $19.95 per month they will with a wireless gismo in my home i will have internet an phone service. However feed to internet will be 2 mbps second verses 56 mbps from watch tv. Salesman says thats no problem.Drawback is i would only have telephone at home.Would sure save money but sure dont want slower internet an not sure i want to loose phone service while in autos.

We've had Verizon for the last 2-1/2 years. We have the Internet, TV and phone service when it became available in 2009. All 3 cost about $ 85.00 per month with one TV. We have 5 tv's so we pay more. Our daughter just had Verizon installed in place of Comcast and she was given a $500.00 gift card. Hal
PS: Verizon installed all new fiber optic wiring in 2009 in this area. That's also unlimited long distance phone calls.

Wife switched our home over. We just unplug our phone cable coming in from the road at the outside box and hook a phone wire into the Verizon unit in the house and we then can use our regular phones at any jack.
She also got a MIFI that works good ,but our old desktop needs replaced now. We need a new computer with a built in wireless adapter. Our old one is too small to work with an adapter so they tell me and I couldn't get it to work either.

When talking about data speeds, capitalization is important.

2Mbps is not the same as 2MBps.

Mbps is megaBITs per second.
MBps is megaBYTEs per second. 1024 times as much as a Mbps.

Verizon wireless data speed should be 2MBps, 2 megaBYTEs per second, which is approximately FORTY times faster than 56Mbps.

So here at rv park i am varying from 11--36Mbps. So Verison at two MBps is much faster? I cant say for sure but i think Watch tv is 56Mbps so am i correct thinking the Verison wireless would be faster? I sure would like that!Perhaps my HP Pavilion is culprit when it slows or freezes after a while.

There are 8 bits in a byte, so Verizion 2 MBps is a maximum of 16mbps. To watch video it is about what you said, you can do it with less if you downgrade the resolution (ie. 240p vs 360p on youtube.)

I just checked an we dont have fiber optics available. You have a good deal i think. You have telephone service while traveling with your plan?

Watch TV is 56Mbps an i have been reducing video to 240 an that does work well.So Verison @ 2 MBps is faster?

Uhhh, no.

There are 8 bits in a byte, megaBytes are 8x megabits.

56Mbps = 7MBps so 2MBps = 3.5x 56Mbps

I think the key word with their offer is up to 2Mbs. I have their MIFI internet service and I never seen anything like more like 380-750 Kbs plus the cost is based on usage, 5Gb is 69 per-month and 5 Gigs is not that much. If you can get FIOS service from them, then you will get something near 2MBs

I don't know anything about bites or bytes or bits ?

But my son watches youtube on it alot using a phone or hand held gameboy thingy ?
And daughter uses it for skype on a new cheap laptop.

We have a cell phone and we buy $10.00 worth of of minutes every year and we don't lose the accumalated minutes on the phone as long as you buy minutes each year. WE don't use it that much. Hal

If you have a problem with any of the services you just call them and they can walk you through a fix. We were getting this message a few months ago: "Internet Explorer cannot display the Webpage" He said to shutoff the power to the Router for a minute. That fixed the problem. Hal

If you average 11-36 mbps currently then it's likely faster than Verzions 2MBps. Keep in mind that Verzion will never get faster than 2MBps. 16 mbps is the fastest it will ever go, but will normally average lower.
