New Antifreeze but 28 years old

Not in radiators that are not pure brass. It loses its rust preventative ability in a couple of years. That is the reason that it is important to change it ever couple of years. Newer antifreeze, made in the last 5 years is suppost to be good for 5 years. I had a couple of cases of Prestone for about 5years and wondered about it. I got the phone no and called prestone. They informed me of the above.

Bet it doesn't lose anything if its still in sealed containers. I do agree that you're supposed to change it after 2 years in your radiator.

Had some autozone antifreeze set back when went to use jugs had chrystalized and what hadnt leaked out was like jello. So it doesnt last forever.

If the containers are unopened and the lables look good it might be worth more to a collector of IH stuff than new anti freeze.
Try selling it on craigslist, this site or ebay.
You might be pleasantly surprised.
There was some NOS Ford Tractor oil in 1 quart cans on ebay a year or two ago that sold for nearly $35 a quart.

I'm with Mike , that info is if its in your engine. Besides , they want you to buy more Antifreeze !

I had some old NOS Peak antifreeze. When I open it there were white clumps of silicate in suspension. I asked the people at Peak if it was OK and they said no do not use it.

You've heard of the saying "When in doubt through it out". You have doubt or this thread wouldn't be here. I agree with ultradog. The antifreeze is probably worth more to a collector than what you could buy new stuff.
