Last Year For Tractor Brands

What was the last year the following brands of tractors were manufactured by their own company, before merging with other brands, being absorbed by other companies, or being purchased by another company? Allis Chalmers?, Case?, Cockshut?, Ford?, International?, Massey Ferguson?, Minneapolis Moline?, Oliver?,

Oliver depends on the model. Last 1855 was in 75,but the last 2255 wasn't til 76.

Moline, could have been a LITTLE bit later, but the last G 1355 was made in 74.

Cockshutt was the same as a Moline or Oliver at the end, could have been a 2255 as late as 76,but more likely 75.

I agree on the Oliver dates.

Moline kind of blended into Oliver over the years- Started by putting moline engines in Olivers, and in the end, they were just re-badged Olivers. From looking at Moline books I have, it looks like the last truly all-MM tractor (M-602, U-302, Jet Star, etc.) was built in about 1970

Production of pure Cockshutt tractors ceased in 1961, and everything after that was a rebadged Oliver. Except the Cockshutt 1350 was a rebadged Moline JetStar 2, I think.

According to the Hart Paar Oliver mag.,Cockshutt was purchased by White in 1962 and that is when the last Cockshutt built tractor rolled off the Brantford line. After that they were Oliver built and sold as Cockshutts. White bought Minneapolis in 1963. If I decipher it right the last Cockshutt branded tractor was made in 1972. Jim

Gets clear as mud in the transition years from 74-76 doesn't it? The G1355 for example, was an Oliver 1855 with the Moline engine. They just changed the sheet metal and went on making it as a White 2-150. The 2255 Oliver was sold in Canada as a Cockshutt 2255,but at some point they dropped the name and model number and sold the same tractor in Canada as a White 2270 instead. But at the same time it was still being sold as the Oliver 2255.

No, no, Case NEVER acquired International Harvester's Ag division. Tenneco, a conglomerate that had already saved Case from of it's near demise saved the Big Red from a similar fate.

(quoted from post at 11:11:04 02/09/12) Allis Chalmers: 1985

Cockshutt: 1961

MM: 1963

MF: 1970ish ?

Ford: 1991

Oliver: 1960

CNH tells me that my 1996 Ford which has Ford all over it is a Ford

International Construction Division (Payline) became Dresser in
1982 /1983 then in 1987 Dresser married up with Komatsu, a joint venture. Later on separated and became Dressta.

yes we were a dealer when the Tenneco purchase came, I didn't go in to that becase the man asked when Case changed or was bought out, and Case became part of Tenneco it was not changed to that name,

1960 for oliver? My 1655 is a 1971. They stopped production in 1976.

1970's for massey ferguson? I dont think that one is right either..
