Another 'How much HP' question

JD 1630 with about 44hp on the drawbar, loader, good tread and calcium: would a 3pth set of spring tooth harrows 16ft wide be too much for it? Clay loam soil.

Springs are't a hard pull, you should be ok. It might be somewhat borderline, but I would suspect you'll have no problem.

You will be disappointed cultivating until you take 10 minutes and remove the loader.Keep rear tire pressure down.

Biggest problem is that loader, take it off for field work.

If you just tick ell along you can pull it. Usted to have a 801 Ford 42 pto hp. Tried to pull 16 ft wit it. 8 ft was more realistic.
