Any US made caps anymore???

I have a bucket head( 7 7/8 hat size). LOL The imported hats are Ball caps not farmers hats. The ball caps are just a beanie. If you need to adjust them out to the larger sizes then they will not stay on your head. They just pop off. The older Farmers hats where much deeper.

I loved "K Brand" US made hats but they got bought out and changed hands several times. Now Staples owns what is left and it all is imported. When it was K brand it was 90% US made. One of the dealers I worked at sold thousands of dollars of hats each year. He never had his logo put on any of them. They all just had the JD logo. He kept twenty or more different styles.

I wore out all of them I had. The hat I am wearing now says it is a "Legend" brand and it has the old style IH logo on it. It is a winter hat and is the deeper style. The new hats I find with Legend on them are the beanies too.

I wanted to know if there are any USA made hats out there??? Also can you get the old style deeper hats??? I hate these new short beanies.

My hair is thinning out on top enough I need a hat to keep from sun burning in the summer. I have found a Nice straw hat with an elastic band that is comfortable to wear. The wide bill around the back is nice in the sun but makes it not work well in the shop or driving. So I need to find me a new hat supplier. I have a drawer full of the imported "free" hats. I turn them down any more they all are junk!!!

I don't know if you can find a hat made in usa.I have about 20 hats and only one is made in usa and its a hunting cap thats about 15 years old.

Before the tractor conpanys started to give out hats, it was common around here to see farmers wereing enginers striped hats. I didn't know what a bucket hat was till I went to the link on big hats, turns out I have been wearing one all winter during chores. Always heard them called roll up hats.

I've been wearing Kromer caps for 30 years and used to be able to get them at any welding store. But alas, Kromer sold out and are not made in Wisconsin any more. But they are still available if you call and order with your size. I like them cause they're wash and wear.
I never liked the one size fits all jobs either and will pay more for one that fits my head.
I don't like a real hard bill like the Cabellas caps either.
Another hat I've worn a lot was an Ultimate Hat.
Google it. They're pricey but wash and wear and I got about 5 years each out of the two I've had.
wvajim thanks for the link.

Sore spot with me it's gotten to the point the 3d world countries don't even make hats anymore evidently china can even do that cheaper.

K-Brand used to be all I wore and yes you are correct they are gone and my supply is getting sparse. I wear a ballcap for the sunvisor since I wear glasses it is a pain in the arse to have another pair just for sunglasses and clip-ons suck, nothing grinds ol' Freds gears worse than some wannabe gangster wearing his ballcap backwards.

I know how you feel. I always knew I had a big head. Had to buy a true "hat", not a cap last year. Went to a hat store and my head measured a size 8. These caps we get here at the dealership look like a little skull cap with a brim, or something you"d see on a "hood rat". They give me a headache, if I can even get them on. Made in China, Indonesia, and places like that. We are almost ashamed to give them to farmers. Homeowners/consumer type customers usually don"t know the difference. I haven"t worn a cap for about four years because of this. I sure do miss the OLD K-brands, they were (and still are) the best!

This site looks like what I need. The hats look like they would be large enough. There seems to be a real limited choice of colors. I am still going to call them and talk to them to see if Theirs will work for me. If they do I am going to order a dozen just for my own use.

I don't know where any of them are made but that is not my problem, it is with the design as when I put them on my head if the top of the cap sets where it should on my head the sides come so far down they cover the top third of my ears. Keeping them set where they need to above the ears I have a inch or more space abouv the top of my head to the cap and they do not want to stay on like that. I say they are a Herman Munster cap.

try "new era". I got a toledo mudhens cap that the team wears. most comfortable cap that i've ever worn. real deep. that's the name on the tag. otherwise i know what your saying, i just basicly quit wearing caps because they fit so bad! mine is a 7 5/8 and is actually too big. I told my buddy to get me the biggest cap they had (his son pitch's for them) now i wish i had gotten a smaller one!

Seems that's what most seed companies are giving out these days. Guess they're trying to tell us farmers we're pinheads for paying that much for seed----

I totally understand. My dads company always had K-brand hats for like 25 years. About 5 years ago he noticed his new shipment wasn't. We stuffed all the K brand ones away. I got a couple left but no where near the lifetime supply I will need. I too don't take free caps anymore. I politely decline and alot of times you can see they totally understand why I did.

Their used to be a guy called Walts tractor caps. He used to have USA made. Don't know if he is still in buisness.

This the cap I wore until the free be caps came along. Glad to see where I can get them. They use to call them Engineer caps as workers on the Railroad wore them. gitrib

What bugs me is the bills rolled almost into a tube- Young guys with 4 wheelers and jacked up pickups like them, I guess. The edge of the bill keeps getting in my field of vision and is distracting.

I have skin cancer susceptibility, so have gone almost entirely to brimmed hats. And you're right, the modern "ball caps" are more like a beanie. Just need a little propeller on the top. . .

Go to Millerhats.com . Thats where I got my "engineers" cap. Made in USA and you measure your own head and they go by that measurement. Excellent quallity hat and goes really good with a pair of bibs from RoundHouse , also made in America right in Shaunee OK.
