Hey folks,
Was fooling around on ebay and ran across this saw. 7 year world wide warrenty, ships to me for 9 bucks, and noone has to go outta thier way to pick it up and mail it... It's not a stihl like I wanted, but 100+ bucks cheaper and an extra 6 years warrenty..

Thanks, Dave

You would be better off to go to Sears and get one with an eighteen or twenty inch bar and use the Sears engine and bar oil in it and get a year or two extended warranty on it. I bought two of them back in the ninetys and wore out a bunch of chains and one bar and they are still running. Only problem I ever had was the oiler on one of them. They fixed it under warranty. I haven't even put a new spark plug in either one.

Thanks, but I don't have a sears handy, and wouldn't shop there if I did.... Don't need an 18" bar either... would like to have a 10 or 12.....

I know what you mean, I don't shop there anymore either. Had a few problems with their credit dept, paid the bill off and haven't been back.

Tanaka Has Been around the small engine scene a long time. Hitachi now owns them. I would do it. Jim

think it's possible to put a 10 or 12 inch B&C on it??

Dave doesn't have a Sears 'cause he is in Germany,
that's also why the Stihl thing didn't work for him.

Dave glad you're finally getting hooked up
With a saw. I know you've had a hassle. My stihl 180 is a little
piece of work. Yesterday hard to start when new but since an
easy starter and trims well. As light to me now as my 028 stihl
was 27 yrs ago. Lol

I emailed another stihl dealer close to my brother and got a response within 10 minutes telling me they would have to order a 192T (decided I HAD to have a top handle) and would take a little while but said he could have it all set up for me and ready to demonstrate for whoever I had pick it up. Just said that he didn't like doing credit cards on the phone and asked if I'd send him a check or MO and the info on who would be picking it up so he didn't give it to the wrong person. Price was a little higher than the one in Aberdeen but sounded OK. Figured to take one more look and found this hitachi for what will work out to (after shipping the stihl) 150 or so bucks cheaper and noone has to go out of thier way.

I give the local stihl dealer all of my business as far as tractor, horse, and fence stuff and bought a brushcutter (stihl) and my cordless trimmers etc from them. Just can't swallow the chainsaw prices......
