Back years ago, a ship I was on pulled into Norway on July 3rd. Of course, we have July 4th, and we heard that day was a celebration day in Norway. We're playing football on the beach, boozing it up and generally raising Caine and wondering why the locals aren't looking too happy with us. Come to find out, it was the regal's birthday, and was supposed to be celebrated quietly. Happy Birthday from us semi's.
 
Here in upstate NY it is not unusual to hear both national anthems played at events. We are close enough to the border that there are usually Canadian participants or spectators in attendance. Many places fly both flags. Happy Canada day!
 
145 years as a country, no civil wars and has been around officially since at least 1583 with the first settlement of St John's NFL. Has one of the North America's and the world's oldest companies with the Hudson's Bay Company founded in 1670.
Universal Health care with some success. are so uncommon they make national news from coast to coast.
 
HAPPY CANADA DAY!! Took in the legendary fireworks display in Lac Du Bonnet over the Wpg River- great as always! :D
