Is there a easy way to have a battery cut off on tractors without taking the cables off have a case you have to take muffler & air cleaner off to raise hood to get to battery & on my cub farmall the battery is in a box, got to be better way...Thanks

There are lots of "in cable" battery switches that can be installed anwhere between "hot" battery post and starter, or between the ground battery post and grounding point.

Some require a key to operate so can prevent unwanted operation of the electrical system.
Battery switch with key.

You can install a master switch between the ground cable and where it's grounded. You will need another short ground cable from the master switch to the tractor's frame. Don't make them any longer than necessary and use soldered ends. The military has used master switches for years. Hal

I put a cut off switch on the Allis 200. Dorman #85988- $20 from Car Quest. I punched a hole in the front of the battery box and bolted it in there.

They are required on drag cars, Cat used them for years. Summit racing catalog for starters.

I just bought one of the battery disconnect switches with the key from Farm & Fleet for $11. I'm installing it to keep my young kids from accidentally pressing the starter button and what could come with that.

Friend of mine uses a large plug inline with the cable - both positive and negative go through it - I've never seen one before and not sure where he got it - but it works well.

Nice thing is you can see from a distance if you remembered to disconnect.
