clink here

tractor data .com doesn't list a 2300 in ih or caseih or did i just miss it,

to me it looks like a 84 or a 74 series tractor, but then the steering link looks to be on the left side,

toadady: I would not bet that the tractor is a IH 2300. The numbers look like mail box numbers or something. On that vintage of tractor the model numbers where on the decal on the side of the hood. Look at the IH 444 I posted.

As for value it is not any kind of a deal at $6500. The loader looks like it have been welded and plated on the front half of the boom. Plus that series of IH utility tractors is not that high a value tractor. I would say it is $1500-2000 to high in price.

JD round here a N series Ford goes for 2K if it's half decent. I'd really like a utility type like that IH or simular sized Ford thousand series or JD. But here those tractors bare are 5K or better. But around next spring you find one like that for 1500 to 2K when I go to CR to see the grandkids I'll bring the trailer and pick it up.

Old tanker you miss read my posting. I said it was $1500-2000 too high in price. Meaning $4500-5000 would be the market around me as it sets. The bare tractor would be hard pressed to bring $3000-3500 around here. Those IH utilities just done have much of a resale here.

Sorry JD I guess I did misread it. Seems that machinery prices around here are funny cause of all the lake shore and hunting plot owners. A utility you would think has gold under the paint or rust and grime. The 2 cyl JDs get a fair price too because of collectors but those prices seem to be coming down. Letter and 300/400 series IH are way down in the row crop models. Decent H or M are going between 1 and 2K. 3020 or 4020 JD seems to hold value and the 706 - 1586 IH's are all over the place. Saw a nice 1086 with hub duals good AC and heat, good rubber, tin and paint go for 8K at auction....then saw a beatup 706 open station with about 25% tires bring 6K. Saw a very good condition grinder mixer bring all of 600 bucks. Was just at an Almish consignment auction that normally has a huge crowd and they were about giving stuff away.

i think the prices are diffrent from area to area is dependent on how big the average places are and the terrane , around here 200ac is a big place most average is 100ac and below, so a big 200hp tractor has no use, however on these smaller places the 50 and below hp tractors are holding their value very well, take that same tractor north to the flatlands and it would be of no use to them, because of it's smaller size .
