Wish I built mine that big. In Ohio and non insulated ( maybe in your future plans ? ) will wreek havok with restorations rusting them back up in no time at all. Is there a vapor barrier under the roofing can't tell ?

Looks fantastic! My farm neighbor went with the 6 tube T5 flourescent assemblies. They are expensive to purchase though.

That green on the building is pretty catchy and fits the country. But you coulda gave a warning about all that green stuff inside

Those water tanks are pretty handy and can be run in a series pretty easy.

How long did it take you to put that up?
Or did you hire a crew?
How high are the side walls?

I wish I had room for a building that size.

An amish crew from berne indiana put it up.There about 60 miles from me.Another crew from the same town put a new roof on my house and 13 rafters over my garage three months ago.It has 16 ft rafters on 4ft centers.

Do you have a permit for catching the water? There have been several states that have been enforcing old laws about catching rain run off. Seems most states have a law that states all water that falls from the sky belongs to the state. We never knew about it till we got charged $250.00 this year because we didn't report what our ponds were used for.

Beautiful building. I'm so envious.

What are your tractors? Is that second tractor a JD H?

Ray, sounds like you are in my area. Used to haul a crew from there out to that far from Berne. Now I am just supplying them with machinery.

Wonder if they will pay for the hail damage there water caused on my sons car.

The eves are vented and the center of the roof is vented the full 80ft.With the gravel floor i'm hoping it doesn't sweat as much as my other buildings.

These are those pigtail bulbs,40 watt that put out 150 watts of light.I have 3 rows of 6 bulbs.

(quoted from post at 22:04:02 09/07/12) With the gravel floor i'm hoping it doesn't sweat as much as my other buildings.
I would be really interested in knowing if that works out!
I was planning on putting in a gravel floor in my new pole barn this fall.
Pretty much the same construction on a smaller scale.
Rafters, sheeting, tar paper, steel roof, vented ridge cap, bare steel walls.
Sure can't heat it!
Insulation is in my future plans, hoping maybe spray on foam would be enough.

Very nice building and collection you have.

What's the story with the rain collection tanks? I have a 60X42 in MO and am planning on a couple of 500 gal or larger plastic collection tanks from the gutters for irrigating fruit trees, but haven't done it yet.

Exposed spray foam is flammable. If you do it, you might figure
out how to cover it with something that isn't.

On the building, nice job. Looks like a building BCI from Muskogee,
OK. built for me, but wasn't that large.

I don't have soft water at my shop. There's a 42x72 about 80ft east of this building.I use the water to was stuff.

I've got at 42x72 next to the new building i use as a shop.I had the walls filled with spray foam a couple years ago.It made a big difference.I heat it with used motor oil.
