How to price corn in small quantities.

We put in about 3 acres of field corn. I have a picker but its just a snapper not a sheller. Lots of friends want deer corn and I want someone to use it so it doesn't sit. Whats a fair price? I don't want to make a mint but I did put in some work and want to make a little. Thanks for help. P.S. would be selling on the cob in about 50lb bags.

What bis it going for by the ton in the area?
I would do the numbers and charg about 20-25% more to handle small amounts.

Ear corn is getting are to find around here. did see some last weekend in bags at a feed store for wildlife. will check on the price and get back later

I find out what the elevator pays comming in.Then I find out what they charge going out...('shop' around a little)I usually just split it down the middle.Thats fair to both partys. If I 'process' it(grind, roll, etc.)I usually add $1 to $2 per 100lbs.Steve

Checked craigslist for around here and found two adds for ear corn . one was for onion bags for $8.00. the other was fill your own drum for $32.00. hope it helps you. sometimes it is hard to price your product.

If I remember right the old standard used to be 72# of corn on the ear would equal 1 bushel(56#) of shelled corn. You could price yours accordingly. I'm not totally sure about the 72# number, could be different, maybe a senior moment?

$10 for a 50 lb bag. You are probably the only source in the county.
I see three ears in celophane in the sores for squirrel feed and they are a dollar forty nine.

I see Lowes selling 10# bag for 10.98 Last year I sold 40#bags of shelled corn for 6.00 and 10# bag of shelled corn for 3.00 . I have not figured a price for this year.
