From the current Progressive Farmer magazine: s rancher in Nebraska is going to rent irrigated corn land so his cows can graze the cornstalks. Last year he figured it cost him 55 cents per cow per day.

Nothing new about renting stalks. Keeps their bellies full and does away with a lot of volunteer corn.
