What would you fellows suggest for labor on square foot basis for errection of 48X32 pole barn Roof only no ends or sides. Also price with sides. All materials furnished.13 foot side heigth. Thank you Bill

I paid about $3.75/sqft labor a couple of years ago for a 56 X 24, 8 ft eve height, sheeted and shingled. The buuilding had center poles and rafters 16" OC. There were three men in the crew. This was an add on to an existing 56 X 24 stable.
This same crew added a 12' shed to a 72' building, roofing it with painted steel over strandboard for about $2.30/sqft.
This was in southside Virgina.

I think I paid $3400 for a 30x40x10 with 1 ft eves, trusses on 16, decked and shingled. Took the crew 4 days to complete. If I'm wrong, I'll post back. $3600 would be $3/ft.
I had the ground leveled and cleared. Even let them use my laser transit to set posts and build pole barn.
I would be worried the wind would take down a barn without sides.
I remember you asking a guy at work, Steve P, what are you going to do when you wear your body out? Bill I think both of us may be in need of a new body. So, what would a new body cost?

I hired A&C Builders out of Oklahoma 1-800-889-1096 back in 2004 to put up my 30X40X10 shed, totally enclosed with one sliding door and one service door - total price $5795 with the roof screwed on and the walls nailed. That was for the shed and for them to erect it on a area that I had leveled for them. They arrived on a Saturday afternoon and finished Sunday evening.

I'm sure they've gone up a lot in 8 years, but at the time they killed everyone else's price. Their finished building was cheaper than most places wanted just for the materials.
