John Deere Model 45 combine drive belts

How do you change the 2 drive belts (match set) on a late model JD 45 combine? They are the ones behind the variable speed transmission belts. From what I see, it looks like I need to unbolt the pulleys from the flywheel and remove the hydraulic pump and support and unbolt the entire pulley housing? Does this sound right? Or is there an easier way?

Jason, I have done it once the easy way without removing any pulleys or pump but it"s been along time (about 30 years)since I done it.
If I remember correctly I walked the smaller V -Belts off on the upper drive pulley on engine that drives the variable speed pulleys below.
Just pull the belts thru the drive pulley and walk it around underneath the bigger belt going down to double variable pulley when rotating the belts buy hand.
My belts probably was loose enough to let them walk around the bigger belt.
I could be all wet on this as it"s been awhile since I looking at the 45 combine and visualizing the operation.
Hopefully someone will pop in here and give you a better answer. on this?
Take Care. Mike
