To keep it tractor related, we shoot coyotes from the tractor. I need a magazine for a British 303 Enfield rifle. Anyone have an extra one?
Richard

Go online to Numrich Gun Parts.com,they have parts for every gun made.Fast delivery and you don't have to be a dealer.

dearborn-

What's that got to do with what he is asking in his post?

(Most jurisdictions frown at driving over the speed limit, too.)

They aren't cheap.

You'll need to know if you have a #1 or #4 (a #5 takes the same as a #4).

Don't try it in Ontario or your machine being a timber jack , a combine, tractor, boat with a motor etc will be confiscated until your court hearing. Sometimes you have to bid for your machine back at the annual government auction.

Thanks Old. Here in SC we can shoot varmints from the tractor. I just cannot believe the uproar that comes with a post like this.
Richard

Don"t know why are diverting off onto such a tangent. Was just saying that some jurisdictions lump all motorized machines together .

Illegal to shoot from a vehicle here in MN, tractor, combine included. Few years ago, farmer with leased combine shot a deer from combine. Authorities got hold of him out in the field, ribboned off the combine area , confiscated combine, gun, and few other items. I guess they did not end up keeping the combine but it sure made a point to this guy who thought he could pretty much do as he pleased.

Next time post it in tool talk since a rifle/gun is a farm tool LOL. Been doing that for the last few days since I also reload ammo and again a gun/rifle it a farm tool for varmints and food

I bet if you check there are permits that will let a person shoot from a car/tuck.farm machine. If you tell me no I will tell you that you do not know what your talking about since I carry just such a permit and have not done so but can in fact shoot for a car truck or farm machine as long as it is not in motion. Many many factors come into play on such things and you need to know how to deal with the system

Ah but that is only part true. Many places you can in fact get a permit to shoot from a car/truck/farm machine. I know I have just such a permit and it is life time as in never expires

Now you trot out the special part. No mention of anybody but the average Joe until you changed the rules mid game.
There are exemptions for cripples here too.

But then you also have the varmint thing and where I am you can shoot a snake coyote etc from a farm machine if you are at a stop. As for the term cripples that term is in fact offensive to many since just because a person is disabled he or she is not dead and in many cases it was not that person fault that he or she has to do thing different and any body who looks down at a person who is disabled should be made to server them and learn what it means to not be able to do things like a normal person

Old. Your telling it like it is. Wisc has such a handicapped permit to hunt from a vehicle(not moving)which I could qualify for. but since I don't hunt any more,I leave it for those who need the permit. Like you the term cripple is offensive, even to veterans like you and I. Regards LOU.

I also have the permit to shoot from a standing vehicle. But I am not supposed to shoot across a road. Or carry a loaded or uncased gun.

Does that include individuals like you, with that of statement Makes you a Mental cripple.

We Americans do not classify physical handicaped individuals as cripples, we have far more respect for our disabled War Vets and handi-capped individuals.

I don't know what or how individuals north of the border feel about their handy-capped whether being a vet or not

Look at pg 20 of Minnesota's hunting regulations and you will see there are permits to hunt and shoot from a OHV(over highway vehicle)for disabled persons

Well for once we agree and yes the word cripple should be one that is no longer a word since to be crippled is one thing but to be called that by one who is not is wrong and sad and offensive. Yes I am disabled due to things that maybe I could have done different and things I had no control over but either way to be called crippled by one who is not it wrong and they should say hey can I help you instead of saying hey get out of my way you cripple etc. D.A.V. Often times when a person attempts to appear "smarter" than they really are, the real facts come forth, and they look far less intelligent than they would like. When a person resolves to make themselves appear as foolish as they are, their efforts usually don't reveal the full extent. At this juncture, you have all the outward signs of fitting BOTH scenario's to the Nth degree.

I guess being politically correct is only bad when the "derogatory" term does NOT refer to you...

I have a feeling you only mentioned 'from a tractor seat' to not get yelled at for being off topic, but look what happened! If you lean on the left fender and pull the trigger, your kidneys will end up in the right fender.
So, anyway, there are a few on Ebay right now, #1's and 4's, don't bid on the one with a flat bottom, those are for the Indian 308/7.62 Nato conversions. Wow, some are higher than what I used to pay for Enfields. But I am suprised Ebay still handles this stuff. At $65, don't lose it again.

If you want to upset the Lieburals- look for a 20 round Carleton magazine, Australian #3 compatable originaly and fits others 1-3. Some old Metford carbine mags floating around- 5 or 6 shot and close flush to stock bottoms, fit 1-3s and in some areas have a demand as they meet the restricted capacity hunting laws that mean the standard mag seen by warden is a automatic inspection for a blocking plug rivited or spot welded to bottom to reduce capacity- sort of like the bent one edge clips for M1s needed in couple areas. Have fun. RN

Some individuals are missing the point, NOT ALL states have the same regulations. I had to go check our (Oregon's)reg.s on land owners. As I remember land owners and individuals acting for land owner can shoot varmints from a motorized vehicle..I was correct!!!

The following is an excerpt from Oregon Hunting Regulations

No Person Shall:
â–  Hunt any wildlife from a motor-propelled
vehicle. Exceptions: 1) A qualified
disabled hunter may obtain an “Oregon
Disabilities Hunting and Fishing Permit”
to hunt from a motor-propelled vehicle
except while the vehicle is in motion
or on any public Rd or Hwy, or within
Cooperative Travel Management Areas.
2) Landowners and their agents can
shoot predatory animals from motorized
vehicles on land they own or lawfully
occupy

Guns are like tractors, worth more in pieces. When I was new to the web, new to Ebay, I thought I was biding on something, ended up I was accidently going thru the 'buy it now' process...never did that again... an expensive lesson in learning to surf the web...
Back in the 90's I found a SMLE that needed a magazine, they were 20 bucks then, the guy wanted 40 for the rifle ...
