I haven"t had snow since 2-22-12 set a record in Cedar rapids for longest without a .1" snowfall

Looks like the forecasters are calling for a blizzard tonight tomorrow. Last night I got the John Deere and the blade ready (first year with a cab) they were calling for 6-8" Based on the forcast at noon (now up to 16 possible) I will be putting the snow blower on.
Also won"t even attempt to drive to work tomorrow (I could make it with the truck, Don"t trust other drivers.
SNOW DAY

Ya the weather guessers are saying snow as far south as Hwy 54 in Missouri if not 25-50 more south. Of course down here we will be lucky if we get more then a dusting if even that much. I still remember years when I lived up north as in NE or MN or such that there was snow from the last of OCT till March

Old me too on the Oct to Mar with white stuff on the ground here in west MN. Couple of days ago where had rain. Sure it turned into snow after about 4 hours, but rain on the 15th of Dec in MN.

We're just outside of any watches or warnings. Looks like a lot of rain, high winds,1-2 inches of snow. Never know though. Cattle are all bedded, mud's pulled away from the feeders,I'm as ready as I'm gonna get.

Ya I got a call the other day from my Aunt in Winona MN that said they had some snow a few days ago but it has since melted. Back when I was around 10 years old I remember living in Leigh NE. and we had snow every year from Oct 31 till some time in March. Seems there maybe something to this global warming after all

We are in the warning area, up to a foot of the heavy wet crap before it is done if they are right with their prediction.

The snow started here a bit ago and the ground is white in s.c. Nebraska. I'm so darn happy to see moisture I hope I'm digging out for a couple days!! Only bad thing is it'll be a blizzard with the high winds forcast.

Same here, winters seem to be coming in later than in the past, we had temps in November that hit 50, and a snowless mild december, only a handful of cold days, the ground is still mud here. I'd rather see some snow cover, and a littler colder for the ground to freeze up, but at least I'm not using much firewood, I guess that's a good thing!

When we lived in Manchester, they would close the school the day after a heavy snow. Son would take the snowblower and go blow out driveways. My wife would take him gas every 1-1/2 hours to refuel. He wouldn't get home until after I got home from work - he made quite a bit for his college fund from those eastern Iowa snows!

Yes. We need the snow cover to protect crops like alfalfa from the super cold temps that are sure to come and the moisture that comes with it.

They tell us we may get 18in. Its gona be a long couple a days plowing. Penneys from heaven they say. Jim

Ya just came in from a deer stand and it is around 40 out right now which is way to warm for this time of year. Bad thing is I saw a deer at about 300 plus yards so no way to take it with my 44mag, but I did have turkeys to the right of me turkeys to the left of me and turkeys all around me. Probably around 100 of them and some with in 40 yards of me

I have probably asked you this before but hey I do this all the time so forget a lot also. LOL So how close are you to that great big town of Leigh Ne are you. If close is there still an IH dealer in that town??

9 p.m. here and the snow has stopped but the wind is still blowing hard. We have some small 2 to 3 foot drifts, nothing major. We'll see what things look like in the morning but the moisture is apreceated. I guess I get to run the 8640 and move snow!

We may get some tomorrow night, but so far nothing. My wheat needs some insulation but it's not going to get any when it's 37F outside. I refuse to put a snow blade on the tractor, that's a sure sign of defeat.
