Here is a fellow out in dream land? Never seen a $7500 IH C

I saw this add on Graigslist. I had to laugh at the price.

farmall super c and imps - $7500 (cedar rapids area iowa)

Even with the attachments he has it would be worth maybe half what he is asking.
7500 Farmall C

I saw that Seller...took me so long to quit laugin' that you beat me to it! Nothin' against a Super C; arguably the handiest small row crop tractor ever made but c'mon...on it's best day, way beyond better than new, restored to what JD fans would call "Expo Quality" and with a few FH implements $3500 and that's a stretch...even with the price of FH implements going crazy!

I like the C-list ad you posted better...it does have weights front and rear, and anti fat guy fenders that'll eventually neuter you, lol but the really disturbing thing is that front end...makes a very very handy tractor clumsy as heck...someone's gonna have to spring for a tricycle front end if they wanna have a shorter turning radius than a JD 8020! BTW if you blow up the pic you can see that the "parade ready" hydraulic lines from the pump to the valve are homade pipe, not the factory tubes!

I guess it won't hurt for him to ask LOL. Sure hope he isn't expecting to get that kind of money so he can have Christmas---Gonna be a LOOOOOONG wait. But on the other hand he just might have some politicians living close by that might want to buy it for a Govmt contract. Have a Merry Christmas You All P.S. Haven't had a cigarette since Dec. 10th. Keith

You guys better quit making disparaging remarks about Super C's, my favorite tractor. (But "Seller"-right behind is the JD A and JD B!)
Merry Christmas to you.

It's on the high side, but........before the economy went bad a couple years ago, I personally know a guy that got $5,000 for a super c wide front, fast hitch, fenders, with decent repaint. No implements. I've seen those implements at $500 each pretty consistently in MN, so a couple of years ago I think $6500 would have been quite realistic here in MN. I bet it would currently bring $5,000 pretty quickly, in MN.

Its high for sure in todays's market in one respect but price out a new unit that can do what that C will do and $7500 won't touch it.Its all what one wants rather have my 7500$ in that C than in a Chinese compact for the same $$$ and people buy those poorly built compacts all the time.

"If you don't sell that %$#@ tractor out of our garage, I'm divorcing you."

"Okay honey, I'll try to sell it, but I gotta warn you the economy is pretty bad right now."

*TWO WEEKS LATER*

"Gee honey, nobody is interested in the tractor. I advertised it with a fair price and everything. Guess we'll have to keep it."

Good timing JD, I saw a $6500 Cub on CL yesterday.
I think it'll be there a while too. F-Cub

Congrats Keith! Best of luck!

"Here is one for $12,000"
Marked down from $19,900!
Interesting place for the headlights.
I would bust them off for sure!

Would be interesting to see how that Cub works with the rototiller in the picture. Don't think it would go slow enough.

guess he can ask anything he wants, it is a nice tractor, but for me that wide front has to go, i grew up on a C and they just got to be a narrow to look right, he also has some attachments for it, but maybe he has left room for a counter offer, or may not really want to sell it and posted it high to keep the mrs quiet, after all, it is for sale now lol and there are some people in certain parts of the country that may well give that for it too

that is a fast hitch flail mower
there is a rototiller made for a cub and you have to add a redution gear assembly to the cub to slow down enough to use it

Well, that cheers me up. I got the same tractor, minus the wide frt. with the same plow and blade plus an IH frt blade with automotive paint and better rear tires. I don't think I could sell it yet though. Don't us it much but it's sure handy when I need it.

Actually the Cub with the attachments would be closer to the asking price than the C. The single point flail mower could easily bring $1000. I have only seen maybe one or two in my life. Plus he has a plow and snow blade. He has some things to use.

Photo adds on this board a 30 thousand dollar IH 1568 . Guess you can price something for what ever but sometimes I wonder where these folks have been. I think the last nice 1568 I saw sold was somewhere around $ 8,500 or so..

You mean a 1586? The 1568 is a lot more rare and sought after because it has the V8 engine. I doubt you've seen a 1568 sell for 8500 in the past 25 years. I certainly wouldn't pay that kind of money for a 1568, but I think someone who wants one will HAVE to pay.
