Schwartz wide front value

I decided to put a John Deere narrow front on my 530 in place of the Schwartz wide front. I'm thinking of selling the Schwartz wide front, but really don't know where to begin pricing it. It has no breaks or welds and is all complete, minus the tires, rims, and hubs which I used on the narrow front. Any thoughts as to what it would be worth? In my mind I was guessing about $500, but I certainly want to be realistic when I advertise it.

We just bought one with tires and hubs and pedistal(sp) for 250.00. Its like brand new. for my sons B. Jim

I see them sell all of the time for $100-250. One like yours without the hubs would be the $100 dollar one. The Schwartz wide front ends where not that good so there is little demand for them used.

I had a Schwartz under my 4010. Aftermarket wide fronts tend to be weak. Schwartz wide fronts were the strongest of the weak. I sold mine because I knew it wouldn't hold up under a 6 row front mount cultivator. When people called, I made it clear that I wouldn't put it under a heavier tractor or a tractor that had a loader or cultivator.

I got $500 for it when I sold it last summer. It came with the hubs and hardware. Mine was good and tight and was going to go under the buyer's 3010. I'm betting mine was a heavier model than yours. There's gonna be very little demand for a light model Schwartz to go under a two cylinder.

Ask $300, take $200. If it doesn't sell in a month, ask $250, take 150. In another month, ask $200, take $100. Don't be one of those guys who relists and relists at the same price for a year.

I worked for Schwartz back in the sixty's, in the machine shop, made a lot of parts for those wide fronts. I have one on my loader tractor for the last 35 years with power steering, never a problem. What was neet about them they were a conversion kit, and beyond that they could be made to fit about anything with a little modification. One thing i like about mine on an old Massey, it shortens the tractor by about a foot compared to a factory wide front. I don't think there's much demand for them anymore, couple hundred bucks tops, especialy without hubs, if you find a looker I would take about any offer for it.

Haul it to a consignment auction. You will find out exactly what its worth that day.And it will be gone.No 'tire kickers' to deal with.

Sounds good, I am glad to know what a realistic price is. If only worth that bottom end of $100-$150, I may just tuck it back in the corner for now in the event I want it for a different tractor in the future.

Don't know. Sold a nice one for Farmall M 5 years ago for a $450 mechanic bill on my old tracker.

A brand new, standard duty without hubs for a Farmall M is just under $1,200. Heavy duty WITH hubs is over $1,600.

AC wide front for a WD usually goes for about $400. I don't understand those that talk about a couple hundred for yours. I've seen other brands in that 4-500 range.
