I left a little early. Wife informed me that it was indeed an 8 foot cross. It was used as a backdrop for one of the visiting schools dance routine.

The visiting school took it home with them. So all is back to normal, no need to protest the school on Monday. :) :)

This will spare the school district from having to install a star of David, crescent moon and of course the obligatory Stonehenge replica.
