Its Only $25,000.....

Found a sharp truck browsing on the internet tonight at a relatively local dealer. Its a white 2011 Dodge 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4 with the 5.7L Hemi motor with 20,000 miles for $25000. I'd put a cap on it since I don't farm, haul firewood etc.. 7 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty is something anyway. If only they would put a warranty on their front ends....

What's wrong with their front ends? I've got a couple Dodge 4wds with over 200,000 on both and never had an issue with front end on either. Both are farm trucks that get hammered.

I have the same truck only 2004 vintage. I needed a new EGR valve at 27,000 miles.(warranty) Put brakes and tires on it. No front end problems.

Many people don't as well. Like I said, I've got 2 Dodge 4wds. Contractor I worked for has close to 20 of them. Never heard of such a thing.

Never owned a Chrysler product, but I'd heard it wasn't just a Dodge truck thing, but a Chrysler thing in general. The wife of a friend had a New Yorker I think it was. She wanted to go to Florida but he told her he wouldn't go with that car until she got the front end fixed again. Said it had less than 100,000 on it and had already been rebuilt once. Said what he really wanted her to do was trade it off on something other than a Chrysler product before they went that far.

Got one similar. 2011 crew cab. The front end is not the problem. Beware that torque converters on the 2011"s may rattle/make noise excessively due to a loose fit (splines). It is covered under warranty. Other than that it is a good truck, better mpg than my "97.

I think its mainly the diesels that had the problems with the front ends.

Although, many Intrepids also had issues.
