I have a couple chimny cleaners I dont need any more , both my flues are t-wall now and I use a plastic brush now . The ones in ? are made of abour 1/8th in. rod and expand when you pull it up and scrapes the sides . Cant find anything about them . When I google and e-bay chimny brushes or cleaners I just find regular brushes . There is a guy that wants them and we dont have any idea what they are worth . Can anyone tell me what these cleaners are called ? I told him to just give me 20 bucks but he said they was worth more than that and wanted to pay me what they was worth .

Sounds like he knows all about them. I would ask him what they're called. Then do the research on them. Just my thoughts!

Here is a picture I found

I have one just like it,but I too do not know what it is called but they do a very good job.Ours was handed down from wife's grandfather when he switched to gas heat so I couldn't tell you what it is cost.

John , if he knew what they were called I would nt be asking here but thanks for the help .

I have one as pictured for my 8x12 chimney. I also have a round one for a 8 inch stainless chimney I used to use. I may have paid 12 dollars or so for them when purchased 26 years ago for the rectangular one. 1980 purchased the round one. Both came from Northern Hydraulics, now called Northern Tool.
