I'm not up on Agco stuff, but was looking at a MF 471, a White 6410 and an Agco LT 70. Could these all three be the same tractor in three colors. The White seems to have a Cummings 239T and the others a Perkins 269.

all three came through a massey factory, however, the 471 isn't even close to the other two. 471's and 481's came from brazil and were a bunch of junk.the white and agco came from great britain and were a pretty good tractor.and i did have both a 481 and an agco.

Hi
If you buy anything Agco I hope you get better parts service than we do up here in Canada Right now.
I waited over 2 months for parts for a customers MF front axle hub.
There was 1 new one shown in the system for the whole world. It was sold to another guy,I had to wait for a new batch to be made.
Our local Deutz dealer, thats part of Agco has the same problem getting his parts for the workshop.
He actually told me at the dealer meetings with Agco all the dealerships are complaining about the poor parts service.
I also heard a rumour that fendt tractors are not gonna be imported the same as they did with Valtra in North America as the CVT is being used in there other tractor lines.
It seems Agco are buying all the good brands steeling the best bits and using them to build the Massey. They got the motor from Valmet as Perkins is now owned by Cat and being a pain with the perkins stuff.

Last time I ordered parts from my local MF dealer who is no longer MF, it took about two months to get them. Next time I needed something I ordered from Maibach tractor in Creston Onio. I got the parts in three days. Give them a try. Great service.

It's a sad situation when buying new the only choice is between giving money to FIAT or JD to get decent parts and service. That's what it's come to here at least. Guess everything I buy is going to be JD or CaseIH/NH/IH/FORD from here on out. It's to the point that the cloest decent AGCO place is just too far to make it worth while.

Yea good luck to you if you can figure it out.

I know they also made a New Holland version of the LT series tractors.

They have quit making orange ones now its red and blue. The lines are not suppose to cross series anymore I though to save the hassle of painting tractors different colors and cosmetic changes.

Hi the part I wanted was through a current and very popular dealer. The hub annular gear was not just round to buy.
I tried other brands that use it to and Landini didn't have one either.
Are the guys you went to Massey dealers or do they just sell a good line of jobber parts?.
Quite a lot of stuff is around like that just not what I needed.
Shipping can be an expensive hobby getting stuff into Canada with couriers to, so that don't help when they add a $300 brokerage charge, That the customer doesn't want to pay. But some will whine all day that the tractor was down for weeks. I figure you just can't please some people in the repair business how ever hard a guy tries L.O.L

Nope, never blame myself....eer the repair guy! But it's pretty sad when you can't get the part you need when you need them.

Maibach used to be Oliver. I found out about them when rebuilding the motor of my 70. They are now Massey-AGCO. The main thing about them is that they seem to be interested. They apparently stock more parts than many dealers and they know where to get stuff that is out of production or out of the ordinary.
