Has anybody here used the 100% bio diesel in their tractors there is a man in my area making and selling it everybody he has sold it to says they have no problems with it.

I used it for awhile. Never had any fuel related
problems with it. However, you have to watch what
its made from. Fuel made from leftover restaurant
grease gels up at a much higher temp then that made
from plant oils.

By 100% do you mean 100% veg. oil as opposed to any fossil fuel?
A dealer a ways away from here was promoting up to a 20% blend(80% diesel). Summer before last I went there and picked up 100 gal. pure(99.9%) processed veg. oil. I mixed it myself at various percentages up to 20%. I had no issues. It was priced the same as diesel fuel. If it is as good a lubricant as I have read, then I am sold on it. Just not much available around here.
I don't run much in the winter, so gelling is not an issue for me. In fact I haven't had fuel cut in years.

Friend of mine was running oil from a deep fryer
in his Dodge dually. He got some oil from Dunkin
donuts and was running that, but all the police cars kept following him.............LOL

I have run B100 in my duramax pickup. Mileage is less. It is more prone to gell in cold temperatures. However, bio has better lubrication, higher cetane, and the truck runs better and quieter.

I am talking commercial soybean oil biodiesel. Waste veggie oil biodiesel can be just as good, but may not be, depending on who makes it.

Ford Motor Company specifically has made a statement that has told the dealers that they are to NOT put bio-diesel in their trucks because.........The trucks will likely sit on the lots for weeks/months. If the tanks have bio-diesel sitting in them it rots the fuel lines and/or fuel pumps seals due to acid in the bio-diesel.

Jim, have 5.9l CR Cummins, share your comments and observations about soya bio completely. Generally run ~25%, tried ~100%, ran great, but as locals charge same for bio as fossil, cost per mile goes up. Also tried it in small Lombardini 24Hp diesel: extremely smooth and much easier starting. Never tried other waste process oils.
