Finally got the potatoes planted

I finally got my potatoes planted today , at least 5 weeks late. Most of the past many years I planted the third or forth week of Feburary. It has been way too wet to even get in the garden to do anything. But today was my day I used the John Deere 40 standard to lay off the rows so I could plant the Kennibacs and Pontiacs. As I write this the temperature on Lookout Mountian (north west Ga.) is 50 degrees it should a little warmer than that and its very cloudy. Have a nice day . Rodney

The Red , you probally were at what we call the Point which is about 18 Miles from where my wife and me live. Lookout Mountian goes approxamitely 90 miles from the Tennesee River to Gadsen Ala. Rodney

planted a row of red pontiacs, myself, today. Normally we plant on St paddy's day! Still have another row I could plant.

Rule of thumb here is good friday, which is usuall 1st or 2nd friday of april, but this year end of march and toooo cold. Got the seed taters bought today 15 pounds,(some, but will get more)
