I went to the Clark County Nevada museum and saw this plow with an auger at the end of it. Never saw that before. I hope this works, first time posting a pic.

Did it look similar to this? They were built in Dallas,Tx

You have got it Tx Jim. My "100 YEARS OF IH" book shows this IH plow made by SERVIS !

Plow used in Contour farming to build terraces.Book states that P.T.O. driven revolving blades carried the dirt for some distance. In a short time it was possible to build a nice terrace with very little investment.

I have a 3pt one, dad bought it at auction decades ago. Do t think we've ever actually used it.

I saw one of those at a threshing show a few years ago. I believe that is what they were for. Someplace I heard that they could throw dirt 25 feet.

It is a terracing plow. IHC plow modified by Servis. I have one. It still works, has a gear box to change the speed of the auger. It will just lay the dirt a foot away or almost disappear it. I pull it with a WD45, you can cut a 8 inch ditch and throw the dirt 30 ft. We use it for ditching fields after planting. Takes a lot less hp than newer ditchers, but a lot harder to back up to the ditch at the end of the field.
