Oops....

I sat down by the computer tonight, and I saw something that seemed odd... A check to pay for an urgent care visit for my son back in March... I mailed the bill out 2 days ago, and evidentally I forgot the check.

I'll get a new one soon enough I'm sure, so I guess I'll just hang onto it until then...

The worst thing of it all was that even with insurance, the bill is $135 for a doctor who was rude, and was only in the room for 5 minutes tops. Didn't even do anything for my 5 month old son who was running a fever and wasn't eating.

What about the young gal who got a phone call from her lover who asked her why she mailed the phone bill to him? And then she realized she'd mailed his love letter to the phone company.

And that's why I don't go to Urgent Care places!

Wife wasn't feeling well one evening, bad enough to want to go in, so we go to an Urgent Care. Rude? yes. Put the blood pressure cuff on so tight it hurt then proceeds to tell us she has panic-time high blood pressure. Makes us promise to go to the doctor and then gives her some pill which drove the blood pressure down. We go home and she "passes out" on the couch--I'm a little worried but can wake her up so let it be. In the morning go to the, now open, regular doc. and he's not too happy about the pill. Her blood pressure is just fine and the d@#$n pill drove the bllod pressure dangerously low.

Around McCook, if you cut your arm off, your best bet is driving right through town on the way to Cambridge or North Platte, or going to Urgent Care.
