sweetfeet's F20 mower

It is already on page 6!! Anyway, my Dad had one of these wonderful IHC mowers. The book for his says it is a 27V, the one he had. He put a IHC cultivator cylinder on it to raise it with. I'm not a mower guru so not saying the ones who said it was a 25V were wrong.

He also had a No.9 horse IHC mower that was like new when he moved to town. It was an enclosed oil drive and worked great. I spent several hours riding it doing ditches and fence rows. It I should have kept.

RusselAZ,

Yep, you are right - it is a 27V. Asked my husband and posted the modle back to the attention of Dachshund (not back in original post).

And yes, my husband said it is the best mower he has ever used - and he grew up on a dairy farm so he did a lot of mowing over the years.

I gave up on using mine and bought a New Idea trailer mower. Two years latter I scrapped the New Idea and fixed up the Old IH mower. I put two, three point pins in the side of the mowers hitch and pull it with the 3pt arms of my 400. Now that I have an F 20, I may have to mount it to it and take a few pictures of it. I know Grandpa ran this combination.

The picture in sweetfeet's post is of a 25V. The 27V had the heavy duty gag lever assembly which is not on sweetfeet"s mower. I've got pics of my 27V and 25V posted on Implement Photos. Type in ihkovas in the search.
