Another rare truck?

Just while Larry (the stone corner guy) is posting pics of rare trucks, I thought I would post this pic taken at our local agri show here in Northern Ireland....It is obviously from Yankee land as the steering wheel is on the wrong side!
Any one know anything about it?

It is a Jeep, but not a Gladiator. It is a military version, an M715, which was a replacement for the old reliable Dodge M37 from the 1950's. Many thought the old Dodge was a better vehicle, but the M715 remained in service for a long time. The 230 cubic inch OHC six was not highly thought of by a lot of mechanics.

Been a long time but I believe that's a military M715 chassis with some modes. They didn't work out very good where I was located. Around 1970 the army quit repairing them in my division. Then they started hauling them off later. Mostly engine problems.

Nice series one it was too, at least it had the steering wheel on the RIGHT side!...LOL

A friend of mine has a '67 M715. Nice truck. He put a lot of work and elbow grease into it a ground up build, not restore. One thing he did that I wouldn't have, is that he put a V-8 diesel in it from an early '80's Oldmobile. I agree with a diesel transplant, but not that one. But, its his, he paid for and did it, likes it, and that's all that matters.
