Speaking of taking cows across the road

Somebody posted just the other day asking about moving cows across the road. I just saw this.

Drivers Beware!

If you're driving in New York, keep your eyes peeled for cows on the road. One driver didn't and was using her cell phone when she hit six—yes six—cows crossing a rural road. She almost hit the two farm workers who were mooooving the cows, too. The offender, Daisy Cowit, was given four separate tickets after the wreck. After learning of Daisy's last name, we wonder if perhaps she was playing a game of tag, as in "Cow-(you're)-it!"

Maybe that was the reason a cow my dad bought out in NE would not cross the road, she saw her friends get killed on the road. My dad and a neighbor aways had cattle out on the road. I told them they needed an open range sign at the property lines.

Citidiot drivers....had one just last weekend when I moved my cows back across the road for herd work. Second to last cow was coming along a little behind the group...driver hardly slowed down and missed her tail by about 6'...as if he was pushing her on across the yellow line.
The last cow had a new calf beside her, the reason they were last! She was about 30' from the road. Now mind you, this is in a flat stretch of road over a quarter mile long, so that idiot had plenty of time to watch what was going on!

Shoot that sign wouldn"t help, Dang fools wouldn"t know what it means, IF they even read it. If They did happen to read it they would just turn around, go home and open the door on their oven.
