Per Tv news, Monday Evening: Red Wing Shoe Co. is
recalling 134,000 pairs of steel toe safety Boots.
They were found not to protect enough against
dropped objects. Red Wing will give replacements!

anybody remember the old saying never buy a car built on monday or friday workers are not the best those days i wonder if thats true for farm equipment might explain some of my machinery problems there all built on monday
 
From the email I got, here are the model #s of the boots that are recalled: 2206, 2211, 2223, 2226, 2230, 2238, 2249, 2254, 2270, 2404, 2405, 2406, 2408, 2412, 2414, 2491, 3505, 3507, 3508, 3526, 3528, 3568, 4208, 4210, 4273, 4406, 4414, 4425, 4433, 4435, 4436, 4437, 4438, 4445, 4481, 4483, 4484, 4494, 22406, 22408, 52406, 52408, 82406, and 82408. The phone # you can call for information is 1-800-638-2272. The model # is on the tongue of the lace up boots. Hope this will help someone. Keith
 
Our 1948 "G" was built on a Friday. Everything was wrong with that tractor. I think that they used all the parts that had been rejected during the week. Even came with a bent connecting rod and a sand hole in one cylinger bore, plus spline ends of the crankshaft were machined wrong.

That was the last JD tractor on the farm.
