Update on Generac Issue

I posted last week about dead battery on Generac 20kW standby unit.

I got out there today, the warning was "low voltage shutdown". I checked the battery voltage and it was at 14.15, so charging circuit was working and battery probably good.

I reset the error code and it started up.

I am now assuming that this is a generation issue, and not a starting issue. I will look further into it. I have read about now, and may have a circuit board issue.

How many hours on your unit. Mine is 3 years old coming up on 58 hr. I have changed the oil twice , each year, thinking about checking the valve adjustment. Have not had any trouble .. It kicks on each week for 10 minutes and has ran for a few outages. One time it ran for about 14 hrs straight thru.

Low voltage shutdown. Means the AC voltage went below a set point or the control thought it did. On some models they do have a shutdown for low control voltage. But it should say low control voltage.
