Darned hydraulic seat kept "creepin' up", so tore into the control valve ('bout the size of a pack of smokes).

Mother IH wants $394 for the complete valve assembly or $6.60 for those two tiny 3/16" o-rings (no, ya can't find 'em locally).

Since I found a piece of metal under the pressure side check ball, I opted for the o-rings. :>)

I gots the o rings. I can bring em to ya but the shipping may be a little high depending on whether it is cold or warm where you are.
 
Yeah, the shipping just kills the deal.

Especially the last leg of the trip, which involves loadin' 'em on the back of a jackrabbit. :>)

Those o-rings have gotten spendy haven't they? Priced an o-ring kit from mother fiat for the rear hydraulic outlet on my 1066. $126, could hardly believe it! Priced the o-rings separately, $140! Found a pioneer conversion kit for $135 and installed it. And people talk about the price of Deere parts...
 
You just ain't a kiddin'!!

I ordered a seal kit for the hydraulic cylinder. One TINY o-ring, one large o-ring and a wiper seal.....$86!!!

Ordered the pre-formed left hand door seal....it was $80 and a he!! of a lot more rubber. Go figure. :>(

Buy the buna cord, fixture kit and super glue... and glue up your own O-rings... I bet that 6.60 doesn't sound so bad then :(

Do any of you folks ever use McMaster Carr for small parts including O rings? They have a large selection with a page of descriptions of general O ring properties.

I use McMaster Carr quite often and typical shipping from Chicago area to southern MN is between $6 and $12 depending on size of order.

Haydraulic seat, wow. When I got a tractor with seat springs, I thought it was about as good as it gets. Sure beats a piece of carpet on a metal pan. Stan
 
When the hydro blew on the mf 750 ,, I paid 68 bux for the kit ,and the durn things seemed like a square in a round hole fit ,,, AND still leaked ,, blew it again...,weekend ,,everyone closed , guess I got LUCKY , Allan,,,,,,,,,, o ring kit had a more perfect fit ,,, made it home ,, no leaks ,, that was 3 yrs ago ,, no problems
