Interested in what others have to say about cub tractors from the 90"s. Looking at buying a 97" 7275. Tractor is a hydro 4WD with 650hrs. Comes with a 417 loader and a KK 60" 3pt. finish mower. Has turf tires(75%), power steering, cruise, block heater, 2000rpm mid pto, and the Mitsubishi 1.5L 3cyl. 2nd owner but has owned since 99. Tractor has typical scratches/rust for its age but nothing major. Starts and runs with no problems or smoke. He is asking $9,500 for the setup.
Any thoughts to price and how available parts are for these tractors. Any weak areas mechanically I should be aware of, and are owners satisfied with its performance and reliability. I own 10 acres and will use it for mowing, snow removal, firewood, and any other odd jobs in which having a tractor is better than not having one. Any info good or bad is appreciated.

I personally would not want one for rear of loosing parts availability. My nephew has owned one for several years and had to replace some frt wheel drive gears.

I had a small one a few years back. Had a loader and a backhoe. Was a pretty good machine they were built by Mahindra. Some of the oil filters I could cross to something affordable but some you could only get from Cub Cadet. Really expensive !

I have a '97 7274 and have had to have a new starter. No other problems. I really enjoy using it. By the way the one you are looking at is a Mitsubishi.

Really have not heard or read much negative about these tractors. Not interested in paying extra for orange or green so this seems like a good option, besides I don"t care about resale. Do you get the parts you need easily and at reasonable cost? Also seems like the Mahindra 3015 is about the same tractor, and it seems like Mitsubishi and Mahindra did build these tractors. I just want a reliable tractor that I can maintain. Thanks.

Mine has been very reliable. As for parts I haven't needed many but have not had problems getting what I need. This model was the one that was designed by IH and some parts are available there I think.
